Oh, a whole bunch of them could do imo, pluto-moon, pluto-sun, pluto-venus, pluto-mars, but at least 2 of them and most probably a DW..Plus, at least one of them a hard aspect, conjunction, square or opposition. That's the way I imagine it at least! Then Pluto in the 7th/8th house would do, too, but not so sure if this alone would be efficient. NycteaI want to know more about this tooMy guess would be oppositions between 'love planets' like venus-mars, sun-venus, moon-venus, mars-mars, etc because the oppositions attract two people but they are also 'repelling'I noticed that a few guys i met who were born between June-August make me "attracted" to them because of the oppositions but there's something else about them that i don't like, always.mar1982deltaI don't think that venus-mars for example alone can create this kind of attraction imo. Pluto has to be in the mix, too. The compelling nature of the attraction, the obsessive side, the love vs.hate is what Pluto does.Definitely oppositions in general can create a push-pull attraction, but it won't be lasting or so passionate at least (not necessarily a relationship, but you can't really leave when pluto is there). If Pluto is there, too, it will make people stay there until the hidden/dark side is revealed anyway. Afterwards, I think that whether the relationship will last, it's a matter of the natals or some saturn aspects for example.yungang_grottoI agree that oppositions can generate attraction/repulsion, sometimes in equal measure, and sometimes the balance is tipped.... depending on all sorts of factors..Venus/Mars opposition actually stands out as being one of both great attraction and a sense that it's too much and you want to get away, especially for Venus. I've observed this in play, and there wasn't a lot of Pluto action in that synastry.mar1982delta quote:Originally posted by yungang_grotto:I agree that oppositions can generate attraction/repulsion, sometimes in equal measure, and sometimes the balance is tipped.... depending on all sorts of factors..Venus/Mars opposition actually stands out as being one of both great attraction and a sense that it's too much and you want to get away, especially for Venus. I confess I have little experience with venus opp. mars, so I just described it the way I imagine it more or less. I thought that only Pluto would cause that intense and deep, maybe controversial feeling. Thanks for your input! yungang_grottoThanks for your input too! It's good to share our impressions freely and also to be able to give differing opinions--that's how we learn! I love the stuff you come up with and allow to flow freely into written expression here!Sometimes folks will have had more experience with certain aspects... I have just a smidge with this one but can confirm Nyc's point re oppositions with pretty legit examples and as much certainty as i allow myself when it comes to this delicate art!My mind goes straight to Pluto also but it can't have aaaallll the action mar1982delta quote:Originally posted by yungang_grotto:Thanks for your input too! I totally agree that that's how we learn and I totally love learning astrology!!! It gets under my skin, I can't help it, it embodies everything I could have wished for learning-wise in one!!! It has so many aspects to look at it I can't even begin with, lol! It's my everlasting passion!!! Sorry for my rambling, but I am glad that I find people who agree with this learning process and I can't help but being enthusiastic about it!!! ETA : Sorry if I am indiscreet, but do you have any natal uranus aspects? "It's good to share our impressions freely and also to be able to give differing opinions--that's how we learn". Just curious, lol! Nevermind if you don't want to answer! YanmorgI have an exact Moon-venus opposition, Venus-mars opposition, and Venus-Pluto conjunction and in all 3 aspects, I am Moon and Venus. What you al have described about the attraction-repulsion is dead on. I can't stand sticking around, but I can't get away for too long either or I start getting antsy. It's so frustrating. Not to mention we have a Moon-Venus double whammy (Moon-Venus trine 1 degree the other way) on top of that so the comfort just makes it even harder to leave.BluejayI think Pluto definitely has to be involved to have such an obsessive love, both in the natals and synastry. That song hits really close to home, I remember I cried the first time I heard it years ago because it struck a nerve. My ex of 15 years and I had fights like that. I think the craziness stemmed from an intense fear of losing one another. We would stir up the deepest emotions in one another, both good and bad, but we could bring out the worst in each other like no one else.We both have Moon/Pluto aspects in our natals. I have the conjunction by 1* in the 8th, he has the opposition by 2* with Pluto right on his AC and Moon on his DC. We are 4 months apart so my conjunction is on his Pluto and AC. My Mars also opposes his Venus by 1*, and his Venus trines my Moon and Pluto. Plus he is a Cancer and I'm a Scorpio, two emotionally volatile water signs. In composite we have Moon square Pluto, Venus square Mars, with Venus in the 8th house. The line in the song "when a tornado meets a volcano" sums it up perfectly. I never felt repulsed by him, although I knew that our situation could be extremely toxic and dangerous. I still love him though, and I talk to him everyday, which is probably not healthy either. I think our attachment to one another kept us together for so long, because we couldn't imagine not being in each other's lives.
